“Hamas: Killing Jews is worship of Allah,” by Pamela Geller

It’s Islam. It has always been Islam. it is the West that refuses the truth. Islamic Jew-hatred is commanded in the quran. Muslim Brotherhood groups like Hamas have made no secret as to their motive and mission. The annihilation of the Jewish state is in the very first paragraph of the Hamas charter. Why does the world sit quietly by when these Islamic groups and governments howl for the genocide of an entire people?

Years and years, decades, centuries of this bloodlust and still ….. it is champions of freedom who pose the problem, according to our betters.

Hamas: “Repeat in the name of your Jihad: Death to Israel!”

During the eight-day military conflict between Hamas and Israel, Hamas broadcast various ideological messages on its official Al-Aqsa TV station. One recurring message called for the killing of Jews, which Hamas defined as a religious Islamic act in worship of Allah. During one music video, these words were shown on the screen:

“Killing Jews is worship that draws us close to Allah”

Chutzpah on steroids! “Canadian PM Personally Intervened to Stop PA Statehood Bid at UN,” INN

Harper, who had been in New York to accept an award and attend the opening of a new session of the United Nations at the end of September, had “a short, brusque meeting with [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud] Abbas,” the Globe and Mail newspaper reported.

“In a little room at the United Nations, Mr. Harper skipped most of the pleasantries in a 15-minute meeting, according to sources briefed on the session, and told Mr. Abbas he had come to deliver a message: If you keep doing what you’re doing, he said – referring to the Palestinian bid for upgraded status – ‘there will be consequences,'” the newspaper reported…

There are more serious potential aspects to the “consequences” about which Harper warned, namely that Ottawa, which had pledged $300 million in aid over five years to the PA starting in 2008, could refuse to grant the generous sum again, as the period is about to run out.

Harper has long been recognized a strong friend of the Jewish state…

“Not just because it is the right thing to do, but because history shows us, and the ideology of the anti-Israel mob tell us all too well, that those who threaten the existence of the Jewish people are in the longer term a threat to all of us,” he said.

Robert Spencer: Obama Throws Israel to the Wolves

And so soon after he posed as a passionate and convinced Zionist during his third debate with Romney. Over at PJ Media I discuss the glee among Israel’s enemies:

Barack Obama pressured Israel to accept the current ceasefire agreement with Hamas that was devised by Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi, and Israel’s worst enemies are thrilled.

Hamas declared November 22, the day the truce went into effect, a “national holiday of victory.” Israel National News reported that “mosques in Gaza City blared through their loudspeakers: ‘Allahu Akbar (G-d is great), dear people of Gaza, you won. You have broken the arrogance of the Jews.’”

A Hamas sheikh, preaching at the funeral of one of those killed in Gaza, declared that Hamas had just won a great victory, one that would prove to be “the first nail in the coffin of Israel.”

…Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad crowed: “Zionists have reached the dead point and have no other alternative but officially recognizing and bowing to the absolute right of the Palestinian nation.” …Meanwhile, Moussa Abu Marzouk, Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal’s deputy, has already stated obliquely that Hamas has no intention of keeping to the terms of the ceasefire anyway. Marzouk rejected calls for Hamas to stop amassing weapons, saying: “These weapons protected us and there is no way to stop obtaining and manufacturing them.”

…For its part, Islamic Jihad was eager to emphasize that the jihad against Israel would go on. “The battle with the enemy has not ended,” a masked jihadist from the group maintained. “Our choice in fighting and getting weapons to defend our people is going on.”

Another indication that the jihad against Israel will flare up again soon enough came from the imprisoned Saudi…

Amid economic crisis, European Union approves $6.3 billion in aid for Muslim Brotherhood Egypt

Priorities, priorities. As far as the Eurodhimmis are concerned, a rapidly Islamizing state pursuing an increasingly belligerent path toward Israel is worth supporting, even while they’re going broke. “Aid amid austerity: Egypt to receive over $6bn in aid from EU,” from RT, November 14

Vatican cardinal’s blood libel: “I think of the ‘massacre of the innocents’. Children are dying in Gaza”

Shameful and unconscionable. Not a word about how Hamas launches attacks from civilian areas in order to provoke civilian casualties they can use for propaganda purposes. Not a word about how the Palestinian propaganda machine publishes faked footage of civilian deaths. Not a word about the indiscriminate rocket attacks against Israeli civilians. Not a word about how “Palestinians” celebrate the mass murders of Israeli civilians by passing out candy.

The Vatican has entered a very, very dark age.

London university to host Muslim preacher who called for murder of gays

Thought experiment: imagine that Abu Usamah at-Thahabi is not a Muslim cleric, or even a Muslim at all. Imagine Abu Usamah at-Thahabi as a non-Muslim saying exactly the same things about gays. Do you think he would be speaking at Brunel University? Or anywhere?

“London university to host anti-gay extremist Islamic preacher,” by Scott Roberts for Pink News, November 22:

Brunel University in Uxbridge, west London, has been criticised for allowing a cleric who supports the killing of gay people to attend a student event…

Thahabi previously urged that gay people should be punished with death.

“Do you practice homosexuality with men? Take that homosexual man and throw him off the mountain,” Thahabi was recorded as saying in the Dispatches programme.

“If I were to call homosexuals perverted, dirty, filthy dogs who should be murdered, that’s my freedom of speech, isn’t it?”

Mursi grants himself far-reaching powers, orders retrial of Mubarak Regime (AP)

(AP) — Egypt’s president on Thursday issued constitutional amendments that placed him above judicial oversight and ordered the retrial of Hosni Mubarak for the killing of protesters in last year’s uprising.

Mohammed Morsi also decreed immunity for the Islamist-dominated panel drafting a new constitution from any possible court decisions to dissolve it, a threat that had been hanging over the controversial assembly.

Liberal and Christian members withdrew from the assembly during the past week to protest what they say is the hijacking of the process by Morsi’s allies, who they saw are trying to push through a document that will have an Islamist slant marginalizing women and minority Christians and infringing on personal liberties.

“Reflections on Current Hamas-Israel Hostilities” by Daniel Pipes November 15

Two observations about the hostilities that began on Nov. 10:

(1) The old Arab-Israeli wars were military clashes, the recent ones are political clashes. The wars of 1948-49, 1967, and 1973 were life-and-death struggles for the Jewish state. But the wars of 2006, 2008-09, and now 2012 are media events in which Israeli victory on the military battlefield is foreordained and the struggle is to win public opinion. Opeds have replaced bullets, social media have replaced tanks. Will Israel prevail in arguing that its enemy initiated offensive action? Or will those enemies, Hamas or Hezbollah, convince observers that Israel is an illegitimate regime whose recourse to force is criminal? The war must be fought primarily as a media event.

(2) If Hamas knows it cannot defeat the Israel Defense Forces and will get a bloody nose for its efforts, it obviously has motives other than victory in mind. What might those be? Several come to mind:

– Test the waters in the aftermath of Barack Obama’s reelection.
– Rouse public opinion against Israel and make it pay a price internationally.
– Refute accusations by Palestinian Islamic Jihad that it has abandoned “resistance.”
– Remind the Palestinian Authority, as it seeks statehood at the United Nations, who controls Gaza.
– Rile up Israeli Arabs.
– Preempt Egyptian plans to destroy Gaza tunnels, as Cairo cannot be seen helping Israel in a time of crisis.

“Israel pummels Gaza targets as Pillar of Defense enters fifth day” The Times of Israel

Ceasefire or ground operation? Egypt’s Morsi said to be working on brokering a truce, but reservist call-up continues. Netanyahu reportedly tells Obama that only another escalation in attacks from Hamas will precipitate an invasion.

Since the start of Operation Pillar of Defense on Wednesday, the IDF has hit some 950 targets in the Gaza Strip, with Palestinians reporting 47 dead, over a dozen of them civilians. Gazan terrorists have fired some 700 rockets at Israel and Iron Dome has shot down nearly 250, including one aimed at Tel Aviv. Israel’s death toll stands at three, with dozens more injured, including 10 on Saturday when a missile scored a direct hit on an apartment in Ashdod.
